Wild Alaska Sablefish

  • *NOTE: The delicacy of sablefish meat precludes complete de-boning. Your fish will contain some bones or fragments.


Our sablefish is caught with longline gear on board the F/V Dangerous Cape, a 58-foot family-owned fishing boat in Homer. All fish comes from a sustainably- managed fishery using responsible fishing methods. We purchase the fish directly from the fisherman, Erik Velsko. Erik handles his catch carefully, icing the fish immediately to ensure excellent quality. Each fish is hand cut with great care at a family-owned processing plant in Homer. We inspect every single piece of fish before it ships, to ensure only the best fish gets sent to you. Traceable from deck to dish and truly a treat, you won't find better sablefish anywhere.
